For many years cat photos have been a source of delight and amusement for many people across the globe, and with the rise of social media, such photos have only increased in quantity (we can’t really complain about that, can we?). When questioned about the inspiration behind cat photograph (included in this post), Alicja told us, “The photo showcases my cat, who often embarks on solo adventures around our neighborhood. At times, he’s gone for so long that we don’t cross paths. The image channels the famous thought experiment, Schrödinger’s Cat. Here, the roles are flipped: the cat is the observer, determining my existence – whether I am alive or not.”

On the topic of the relationship between her creative expressions and how they are interpreted by viewers, the photographer offered some more of her thoughts, “My photography is a true reflection of my aesthetics, creativity, and the courage to represent my true self.
