In February, I moved back to my hometown and started sketching with ink, because I was in between jobs, and then COVID-19 hit. I thought it would be good for me to do a 100 days challenge to keep a daily structure.
Although I really like ink, I’ve always wanted to learn more about colors and paint. So I decided to give it a go with gouache, a medium I had never used before.
Now, I’m halfway down the 100 days challenge! I’m in love with gouache. It is such a versatile and forgiving medium. The vibrant colors make me very happy.
For the first 50 days, I used many reference photos (credit is on my Instagram) and for the next 50 days, I’m going to use my own photos or my imagination.
It is a tough challenge, but also a great learning experience. I really hope you enjoy my paintings and that those colors make your day a little brighter!
