Superman Squirrel And Other Pictures Of Wild Animals That I Took (58 New Pics)

Spread the love

My name is Dick van Duijn and I’m a wildlife photographer who went viral with the photos of the ground squirrel smelling a yellow flower. I made another special squirrel photo this Fall.

This time I traveled to Belgium to photograph jumping squirrels from a small wooden hut in a forest with beautiful autumn colors. I took place in the cabin one hour before sunrise and left there just before sunset. I spent almost 8 hours there to capture this beautiful leap.

I took a special photo of the jumping squirrel this fall

Naturally, I take pictures of other animals besides squirrels as well. However, squirrels can be incredibly difficult to photograph because of how agile they are. I previously photographed jumping squirrels, but what makes these images so beautiful are the bright red/orange colors in the background and the posture of the squirrel, which flies through the air like a real superman.

Bored Panda has previously shared some of my photographs here and here. Hope you will like my animal pictures!

The purpose of my travel is to photograph animals. The last few years I plan trips especially to photograph certain animals.

In December I’m planning to go and try to photograph the Iberian lynxes in Spain and in January I will go to Costa Rica. That country has always been on top of my bucket list.

I have always been crazy about animals and their behavior. And for a few years, I also photograph them. I still want to photograph penguin chicks in Antarctica, that’s my dream, but it’s very expensive to go there, but I hope someday I can make this trip.

Sometimes you need a lot of patience when photographing animals and you don’t always succeed. Sometimes you have to go back several times to the same place to try to take pictures again.

Sometimes, when it’s the rutting season of the red deer, I go to National Park De Hoge Veluwe in the Netherlands. You can photograph them very well in the afternoon then.

In The Netherlands, we also have many red foxes, especially in the dunes at the coast and at industrial areas at the Dutch coast.
