A singer who partied with her plastic surgeon the day before undergoing three procedures has passed away.
Ana Bárbara Buhr Buldrini suffered cardiac arrest at Tusa Hospital in Turkey after undergoing a breast augmentation, liposuction, and nose job.
The 31-year-old had traveled with her husband, Elgar Miles, from Mozambique to Istanbul for the procedures that ultimately cost her her life.
“She wanted to undergo these procedures to improve her aesthetic standards. It was a dream of hers,” Miles told O Tempo.

As Miles explained, Buldrini was promised that she would receive the cosmetic surgery in exchange for promoting the clinic.
According to a G1 report, the couple partied with Buldrini’s surgeon on Saturday night (June 14), and she underwent the procedure the following day.
Though the operation was originally scheduled for Wednesday, the surgeon decided to bring it forward to Sunday due to “scheduling issues,” Miles said.

The couple questioned the doctor about the safety of moving the surgery forward since they had all spent the night out, but the doctor assured them there would be no issues.
“We went to the clinic on Sunday just to see the place, but the doctor wanted to perform the procedure without Ana being prepared.
“The doctor assured me that there were no problems and that everything would be fine.”

Buldrini was reportedly out of the operating room by 11 p.m. on Sunday. Her husband said he was sent a photo showing the singer “recovering” under anesthesia.
However, he began to worry when he noticed the doctors were acting “strangely” and told him he had to wait longer than expected to see Buldrini.
“I waited for 1 hour and 15 minutes to receive her,” Miles said.
“I went down to the ground floor and a doctor said that her heart was beating slowly, another said that she was already d*ad.”

Tusa Hospital denied any malpractice and insisted that its staff did everything they could to revive the patient.
“Despite all efforts by our expert anesthesiology team, the patient could not be resuscitated,” the medical facility said in a statement to Turkiye Today.
Turkish police were called to the hospital. Doctors from the clinic were temporarily detained but were released after providing statements.

Buldrini and Miles reportedly married on May 3, six years after meeting in Rome when she worked at a tattoo shop next to his music recording studio.
“I just want justice to be done and for this case to serve as an example for all people who want to undergo a type of medical intervention like the one Ana underwent,” Miles expressed.
“She was the person who cared for me the most, who loved me the most, who believed in me the most.”
Known as Ana B, Buldrini was a Brazilian funk singer and OF content creator.

On Instagram, Miles, who is also a singer, paid tribute to his late wife, writing, “Our last few days were too beautiful to end this tragically.
“I will love you forever because I chose you for that. Years and years of building our empire for today I’m here in this room alone with no floor.
“I promised to protect and love you like the queen and beautiful person you are inside and out. It doesn’t seem fair living this life without you, not really.
“I want to be wherever you are because none of this makes sense without you.”

He added: “Everything hurts. The body, the heart, the soul, the eyes from crying so much, the mouth from screaming so much because the anger doesn’t end.”
The husband vowed that those responsible for the alleged malpractice “will pay, even if I go to hell fighting.”
Turkey has become a popular destination for plastic surgery, attracting people from around the world with procedures that cost up to 70% less than in the US or Europe.
However, amid the boom in medical tourism, some patients are willing to take extra risks—and these money-saving decisions can end up costing them their lives.

In November 2024, Hayley Dowell, a 38-year-old woman from Hampshire, England, lost her life following a botched Brazilian butt lift (BBL) surgery in Turkey, where the surgeon left midway through the operation.
Hours after the procedure, Dowell suffered a fatal embolism, a blockage in a blood vessel caused by a foreign substance traveling through the bloodstream.
Her family claimed that she had not consented to one of the three cosmetic operations performed at the BHT Clinic, which included a BBL, liposuction, and tummy tuck.

In January 2024, Demi Agoglia, a 26-year-old mother from Salford, England, passed away from a microscopic fat embolism a day after undergoing a BBL surgery at the Comfort Zone clinic in Turkey.
The coroner in charge of the case stated there was “no proper pre-operative care and advice and no proper post-operative care” by the doctors and that “the lack of care contributed significantly to Demi’s de*th.”

Content creator Kayla Jade recently warned against getting plastic surgery in Turkey after traveling to the country for a BBL.
She said she decided on a clinic for which “every review was amazing,” which she later considered a “red flag” because everything seemed “perfect.”
Jade said she didn’t receive proper post-operative care. “The key to a successful BBL recovery is to avoid sitting for too long. When I woke up, I was lying on my back.”

She also had a negative experience during the operation itself, sharing that she began “vomiting blood” at one point and faded “in and out of consciousness.”
Additionally, Jade claimed that she was touched and kissed inappropriately by some of the male staff at the clinic.
The woman warned: “Please be careful because, you know, if you get stuck in that like surgery cycle, you’ll be thinking of the next thing and constantly want something new.”
“I hope that the ‘surgeon’ loses his license forever and goes to prison,” expressed one netizen
