People Clap Back At The President By Posing In Front Of A Building They Never Go To With A Book They’ve Never Read For POTUS Challenge

Spread the love

Donald Trump has once again sparked major controversy by one of his political moves. Shocker? Not really. And as per usual, there’s pretty much nothing fun about the situation. What’s actually fun is how our beloved Interweb surfers never seem to miss an opportunity to start a new viral challenge. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

Here’s a little backstory for you. On June 1st peaceful George Floyd protestors were removed from outside of the White House by the military force. Right after that, Donald Trump surrounded by a dozen security personnel went up to St. John’s Episcopal Church and then walked out of the church with a Bible in his hands. You’ve probably already seen THE photo. And if you haven’t, here it is.

After seeing this photo many people realized that he was holding the Bible upsidedown. And it gets even more ridiculous. According to the bishop of the church, the only time Trump has been at St. John’s church as president was on the morning of his inauguration…

This photo and the whole situation inspired internauts to start a new challenge and called it #ThePOTUSChallenge. Basically, the point of this challenge is to take a picture of yourself in front of a place you never go to while holding a book you’ve never read. Do you see what they did here?

Internet users seem to be super stoked about this new meme – The POTUS Challenge community on Reddit currently have almost 10 thousand members and is constantly growing! And we’re totally not surprised – this is the kind of light-hearted content we all could use right now.
