Co-Worker Tries To Get A Woman With Breast Implants Fired, Ends Up Jobless Instead

The people you work with can turn out to be your very best friends. Or your mortal enemies. Whether due to jealousy or just being plain mean, some people start off by making fun of you but eventually, this turns into bullying and can even lead to outright harassment.

A Reddit user who went by the anonymous name 3240278189 shared the tale about how she got breast implants for medical reasons, and how her horrible colleague Jill made fun of her, harassed her, and tried to get her fired. However, karma is a female dog. The story ended with Jill out of a job, and the Reddit user vindicated with the help of her other co-workers. It just goes to show that there are people out there who will have your back, even if others want to stab you in it.

The Redditer’s story went viral. Within 18 hours of being posted, it got over 56,000 upvotes, 3 Platinum Awards, 7 Gold Awards, and received more than 1,600 comments.

The Reddit user explained that she got breast implants for a very serious reason. She had cancerous cells in her breasts, underwent a bilateral mastectomy procedure, and ended up with two large scars on her torso. The woman completely lost her confidence in herself and barely left her home. The implants helped her feel powerful and attractive again. However, when her co-worker Jill found out that she had them, she started up a barrage of ‘jokes’, and harassment.

Whatever the reason for the implants, there is no justification for harassing your colleagues. If you have some anger and frustration to vent, join a gym, and go hit a punching bag. But Jill wouldn’t let up, and the Reddit user finally snapped, explaining why exactly she has implants. When Jill tried to get the woman fired for raising her voice at her, the Redditer’s other colleagues rallied to her side, supporting her. The story has a happy ending because Jill got fired for being a horrible human being who had mean comments to say about everybody.

Cancer is a very delicate subject, as most everyone would agree. However, there are some people who lack awareness. Today, there are more than 3.1 million breast cancer survivors living in the United States of America, writes Medical News Today.

While survival rates have increased over time, according to the American Cancer Society, there is a 2.6% chance of a woman dying from breast cancer. And around 41,760 women will die from the illness in the United States in 2019. Breast cancer can also affect men in some rare circumstances. Whether or not there is a history of breast cancer in your family, it’s better to be safe than sorry, so talk to a health professional about getting screened and tested.
