“Chocolate Snow” Covers Swiss Town After A Mishap At The Local Chocolate Factory

Spread the love

What would you say if we told you that chocolate snow exists? Would you get excited? Or would you think that the person writing this has gone crazy? Well, that might be true. But the chocolate snow actually exists, believe it or not. At least it does for the people living in the Swiss town called Olten.

Here’s the explanation. A few days ago, Lindt & Spruengli, a chocolate factory located in Olten, had a little mishap. Its ventilation wasn’t working properly, the day was windy, and this perfect combination lead to chocolate powder immediately spreading around the vicinity of the factory, leaving a fine cocoa dusting.

According to AP News, only one car was “damaged,” aka lightly coated with the chocolate powder. Apparently, the company offered to pay for any cleaning needed; however, it hasn’t yet been taken up on the offer.

It’s worth mentioning that this chocolate dust is harmless to humans and the environment

Lindt & Spruengli has since then fixed its ventilation system and everything works properly now. Which sadly means—no more chocolate snow. Though it’s good to know that the company did not suffer due to the incident.

Yep, no more chocolate snow. At least for now

But we’ve still got the good old classic chocolate. That we can ACTUALLY eat
