Recently “Saturday Night Live” released its second episode made in self-isolation. The episode was opened with a piece of good news for Dr. Anthony Fauci, US top infectious disease expert, who earlier said he wished for Brad Pitt to play him on “SNL”. Last Saturday his wish came true when the well-known actor dressed up as Dr. Fauci to explain what President Trump really meant with his notorious claims about COVID-19.
“Saturday Night Live” came back with its second episode made ‘at-home’ which was opened by Brad Pitt paying Dr. Anthony Fauci
With the total of COVID-19 cases reaching 987,322 and total deaths being 55,415 the US has become the worst-hit country by the pandemic. As the virus rages the country, many conspiracy theories, false treatments, and misinformation have begun to circle around.
Sadly, some of them come from leaders who are tasked with dealing with the crisis. Recently President Trump started making headlines for suggesting that injecting disinfectants into a human body might be a valid treatment for COVID-19. This senseless and potentially dangerous claim has become an excellent material for SNL’s comedic relief.
To dispel the myths and fact check the president, SNL brought in Bratt Pitt to portray the key member in the coronavirus task force, Dr. Anthony Fauci.
The hilarious skit shows that the president and infectious disease expert doesn’t always see eye to eye and offers a hilarious take on Trump’s latest comments.
