According to the BBC, there’s only a one in 135 chance that you have an exact doppelganger, but when it comes to someone who shares a striking resemblance to you, there’s a much better chance they’re out there. I never really believed much until 2 years ago, someone happened to send me this picture, and honestly, my heart skipped a beat (guess that’s what happens when you find your doppelgänger for real). She’s Rutu from Ahmedabad, and we contacted her two years ago via social media. We stayed in touch and hoped to meet one day. And guess what sheer coincidence again? Rutu was visiting her maasi in Ahmedabad the same day I was there. We scheduled our meeting, and to my surprise, she looked exactly like me. Her smile, her build, her nature. FYI, our birthdays fall on May 5th and May 6th, respectively. I just found 1 out of 7 of my doppelgangers; this feels so surreal.
