As we’re now well into the quarantine, many of us have adopted new habits and takes on our routines. Ditched your makeup? Same here. Trimmed your hair with kitchen scissors? You’re not the only one. Take a look at some of the best DIY quarantine beauty looks here. Or maybe you’re embracing a “gray hair, don’t care” approach? If so, you’re spot-on!
It turns out, letting your locks grow gray is the new hot look for spring in lockdown, approved by A-list celebrities. The best part is, it requires zero maintenance. Kevin Hart, Diddy, and Kelly Ripa are among the avid advocates. Kylie Jenner is also said to be on a hair health journey now. It just occurred to me, I may be on one too without yet knowing it.

There may not be a better time to embrace your natural hair than when self-isolating at home. As a result, the natural hair movement is spreading amid the crisis. And it seems that billionaire influencer Kylie Jenner is having a blast: “This is such a good time to take your hair out and your nails out, no lashes,” she said on Instagram Live.
We previously wrote on women who are bucking the hair-dyeing trend and are instead choosing to be proud of their natural gray hair. You can check out the article right here. The women of the “Grombre” community believe that naturally silver curls are just as classy and beautiful. And we can’t agree more!

So why not try out the “new year, new hair” mantra, but in quarantine? There are a bunch of home-made remedies and hair treatments we could all make at home. For healthy and luscious hair, The Cut suggests treating your locks with coconut oil. “For dry and damaged hair, apply a few teaspoons to ends for instant softness.”
Another basic product that everyone has somewhere in the kitchen is apple cider vinegar. According to The Cut, “it seals hair cuticles to promote softness and shine.” And it’s super easy to use! “Use it as a rinse after shampooing and conditioning. Dilute one part vinegar to six parts water in a bottle.” The smell may not be the best one, but it goes away after a while.
